Will Louis van Gaal dip into the transfer market for another defender?
Not only is Jonny Evans set for a medical at West Brom but Manchester United are now without Tyler Blackett too.
Blackett travelled to Glasgow today to sew up a deal with Celtic that will see him spend a year on loan with the Scottish champions with a view to a permanent move next summer.
The 21-year-old was unveiled as a Celtic player at half-time of Celtic’s home tie with St. Johnstone today.

Blackett’s signing could spell the end for the much-discussed Virgil van Dijk.
Van Dijk is a target for a number of Premier League clubs and has offered a ‘come-and-get-me’ plea after Celtic failed to secure a place in the Champions League group stage.
Blackett is seen as a like-for-like replacement and, despite being given his breakthrough by Van Gaal last season, never secured a regular starting position at Old Trafford.
