A trio of players could move to Old Trafford in the upcoming transfer window according to reports in The Daily Star this morning.
Benfica pair Nicolas Gaitan and Enzo Perez are thought to have all but agreed to a transfer to The Red Devils and long-time target Kevin Strootman could finally be brought to Manchester for around €40 million.
The rumoured return of Fernando Torres to Liverpool could actually have some truth to it.
The striker is currently on loan at AC Milan from Chelsea but the Italian side are reportedly looking to put a premature end to the two-year deal due to the Spaniard's lack of form in front of goal.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho revealed last week that he has not considered taking Torres back which could leave the door open for Liverpool, who have struggled for goals since the departure of Luis Suarez and injuries to Daniel Sturridge, to bring in their former talisman.
The Merseyside club will face stiff competition from Atletico Madrid for the player if Torres does become available. (Mail on Sunday)
The much-discussed, never-realised transfer of Morgan Schneiderlin to Arsenal could be set to be completed in the January transfer window according to Metro.
The Southampton midfielder was in talks with the Gunners in the summer before the deal fell through but Arsene Wenger is keen to avoid a repeat of that come next month.
Spurs are also monitoring the players availability but it's believed that Arsenal are willing to offer more for the Saints star.
Manchester United fans will be rejoicing at the news that Aston Villa are looking to turn Tom Cleverley's loan deal into a permanent move to Villa Park.
The midfielder was one of a number of scapegoats who were blamed for United's struggles last season but Paul Lambert seems more than pleased with the performances of the 25-year-old.
Cleverley's deal with United runs up in the summer but, according to The Sunday Mirror, Villa will look to sew up a deal for the Englishman for around €9 million in January.
