Breaking news – Alex Ferguson is the best ever Premier League manager.
That might not surprise to learn you but Andre Villas-Boas’ position on the list makes for some pretty startling reading.
Sky Sports have put together a table of the 30 best Premier League managers and their system of awarding points means that Manuel Pellegrini, who has been in the league for just two seasons, is the fifth greatest boss that the league has seen.
Mangers got points based on titles won, points per game, top four finishes and length of time in the job.
Garry Monk just about slipped into the top 30 despite being in the Swansea hot seat for a mere 17 months while Harry Redknapp, who has managed seven clubs since his first managerial gig in 1983 and was awarded Premier League Manager of the Year in 2010, doesn’t feature at all.
