Reports in Germany are reporting as fact that Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign VfL Wolfsburg attacker Kevin De Bruyne.
The Premier League side have been courting the 24-year-old Bundesliga Player of the Season for some time now, but look to have finally secured his signature at long last.
Bild, and a number of other German outlets, say an initial transfer fee of €80m (around £60m) has been agreed, rising to a possible €88m (£65m).
Last night, Patrick De Koster, the Belgian’s agent, said, ‘The deal has not happened yet. Maybe it will be done tomorrow.’
Both Manchester United and Bayern Munich were strongly linked to the player in recent weeks, but the suspicion is that the rumours were circulated by Wolfsburg to spur City into action.
