We’ll find out if they’re genuine soon enough
We might have caught our first glimpse at the 2022/23 Premier League fixture list, thanks to multiple ‘leaks’ on social media,
The purported fixture list for the upcoming season shows the first eight gameweeks of the 2022/23 season, which run from August 6 to September and then another eight from 26 December to 11 February. It also also sheds more light on how this year is going to look scheduled around the World Cup in Qatar.
If the information is to be believed, then the opening round of fixtures will see champions Manchester City take on Aston Villa in the season opener and newly-promoted Nottingham Forest take on Crystal Palace in their first top-flight game in more than 23 years.
Some leaked Premier League Fixtures circulating around social media tonight 🙌⚽️
I am not sure how accurate these are, as i know there were some changes due to some of “top 6” playing each other the weekend before the world cup starts. #PremierLeague #football #SoccerAid pic.twitter.com/7QtvgsT86T

Elsewhere, domestic cup double-winners Liverpool will be looking to start a comeback campaign off right against Newcastle in the opening weekend of fixtures which are set to kick off on Saturday, August 6.
The first match featuring the big six will supposedly be between Man City and Chelsea on August 20, with the champions not meeting their close title rivals Liverpool until September 17.
Are they real?
Naturally, the accuracy of this supposed 22/23 fixture list is yet to be authenticated; the fact that no mid-week games are included on either example nor are the international breaks outside of the World Cup included.
For instance, the weekend of September 24 contains a full list of fixtures, but we already know that the likes of England and various other European clubs are due to play Nations League fixtures on September 23 and 26.
Whether there is any truth to these leaks or not will be confirmed soon, as the full Premier League fixture list is set to be announced at 9 am on Thursday, June 6.
