Scot relaxing after Davis Cup success with a spot of unsuccessful gaming.
Andy Murray is a lot of things.
He’s decent with a racket. He’s funny. He’s successful.
He isn’t a Football Manager player though and he certainly is not a failure at it.
Last night, a young gamer tragically lost his job with Borussia Mönchengladbach and we all felt his pain. Especially when the German club – the real club – saw fit to troll him on it after his sacking.
It was a nice story but it certainly wasn’t as good as what The Guardian originally thought.
Unfortunately for them, they confused some random fella playing Football Manager with the British number one tennis player. And they also mistook Mönchengladbach for Dortmund.
Ah, but it could’ve been so good.
Anyway, Andy himself – the real tennis playing Andy – liked the mishap and retweeted the gaffe off his own account.
The Guardian just removed this story confusing not only @andy_murray and a random bloke, but also BVB and Gladbach… pic.twitter.com/wrpymIB8Di
