A short, but sweet message from the former Liverpool skipper.
Steven Gerrard was among the first to congratulate Luis Suarez on his staring role in winning the Champions League.
Suarez scored the second of Barcelona’s three goals in their 3-1 win over Juventus in the final in Berlin tonight, and Gerrard posted his congratulations within minutes of the final whistle.
The soon to be LA Galaxy midfielder posted an Instragram picture of the pair, who played together for three years at Liverpool, with a short caption saying: ‘Congratulations my friend… Special’, and a few emojis for good measure.
A nice gesture from Gerrard towards his old pal.
