Peter Crouch has never been renowned for his Herculean physique.
He’s a big man in the most vertical sense of the term and his strength comes in getting his head to crosses, being able to hold up play and showing off surprisingly good footwork for a 6 ft 7 in lad.
But those nasty folk on the intertubes have been having a go at poor ol’ Pete for the less than impressive muscle definition in his legs by comparing the Stoke striker to new teammate Xherdan Shaqiri.
Xherdan Shaqiri has calves the size of most grown men’s thighs so it’s hardly a fair comparison and Crouchy has responded to critics via Twitter this morning.

We’re with you Pete. And you’d absolutely own Xherdan in a dance contest so swings and roundabouts.
