Paul Scholes knows a thing or two about playing attractive football, and he isn’t happy with Manchester United’s recent displays.
Speaking on BT Sport before United’s clash against Newcastle, the former England international said following Louis van Gaal’s side has been “like watching paint dry” at times.
However, Scholes believes that could all be about to change thanks to Memphis Depay.
‘He’s very similar to Ronaldo in ways,’ he said. ‘You can come to this ground and just watch him.’

Post-match, however, and Scholes beat an old drum.
‘There’s a lack of excitement; a lack of quality really.’
He added, ‘Newcastle at home; you should be beating them.’
