The Dutch youngster had been linked with moves to Manchester United, Barcelona and Tottenham.

Ajax youngster Justin Kluivert is on the verge of leaving the Ajax as a move to Serie A giants AS Roma nears completion.

The 19-year-old had already expressed his desire to leave the Amsterdam club, with recent reports suggesting that his agent – Mino Raiola – had submitted a rather spurious contract renewal request to ensure his client remained at the club.

According to a report by Calciomercato.com, Roma’s sporting director Monchi is now attempting to find a compromise between his club’s offer of €15 million and Ajax’s demand of €20 million.

Kluivert, the son of Ajax and Barcelona legend Patrick Kluivert, has enjoyed the best season of his young career so far, scoring 10 goals and registering five assists in 30 matches.

The attacker earlier this month informed the media that he would not be renewing his contract with Ajax, saying that “too much [had] happened”.
