With the new season up and running, there’s not much in the way of leaked football kit news to go around these days.
But fear not, football kit enthusiasts, we’re not completely done on this front just yet. Hot on the heels of the new Juventus away shirt’s official release and more speculation about Paris Saint-Germain’s Jordan collaboration, we’ve now been given a glimpse of what’s expected to be the new Borussia Dortmund away shirt for 2018/19.
The German club released their new home shirt back in May, but the always reliable Footy Headlines have now shared images of what is expected to be their new changed strip.
Made by PUMA, the shirt is predominantly black with yellow hoops on its sleeves. Also in yellow, a grainy pattern can be seen across the jersey’s shoulders and chest.
The same textured pattern continues on the back of the shirt.
The German club begin the new Bundesliga season at home to RB Leipzig on Sunday afternoon.
They had debutant Axel Witsel to thank as they avoided humiliation in their first competitive game of the new season. The Belgian international, a summer signing from Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian, had only just entered the field of play when Dortmund fell behind to second-tier Greuther Furth in the German Cup on Monday night.
Fortunately, Witsel volleyed home a last-gasp equaliser to send the game to extra-time and avoid a shock first-round exit. Marco Reus later added the winner in the final seconds of extra-time to make sure Lucien Favre’s side progressed to the next round.
