We’ve already shown you just how much last night’s Champions League final defeat hurt Andrea Pirlo, but that doesn’t mean the Juventus and Italy legend was going to let it get in the way of being just an awesome human.
The 36-year-old was hurting along with his team-mates as Barcelona lifted the trophy following their 3-1 win in Berlin, but the emotional Pirlo still showed respect to the deserving champions.

It was Pirlo’s final game of football in Europe as he leaves the Bianconeri to move to the MLS, and he also found the time to congratulate Barca legend Xavi, who came off the bench in his own final appearance for the Catalans before moving to Qatar.
