Adnan Januzaj on his way back to England

They need a player just like him.

When he broke into the Manchester United first team back in 2013/14, Adnan Januzaj had United fans thinking that they had the next big thing. His brace against Sunderland sold fans a dream that was never realised, as he faded into the abyss under Louis van Gaal.

Loans to Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland were not as productive as hoped, and he finally decided to resettle in the Basque country when he joined Real Sociedad.

In La Liga, his form has significantly improved and he could be set for a return to the Premier League as a result.

Leicester City are ‘very interested’ in signing the Belgium international from Real Sociedad as they look to replace Riyad Mahrez, according to the Leicester Mercury.

Leicester sold Mahrez to Manchester City for a hefty fee of aound £65m this summer and are in the market for a player of a similar mould.

Januzaj fits the bill, as a right sided left winger with an eye for a pass and excellent 1v1 dribbling ability. Still only 23, Januzaj has plenty of time to re-establish himself as a top talent and Leicester could be the perfect place for him to do so.

One potential obstacle in this transfer going through is the fact that Manchester United have the ‘first option’ to re-sign the player they sold last summer. However, it’s unlikely that José Mourinho would be that keen on bringing the player back to Old Trafford, with his eyes firmly set on Willian.

Januzaj reminded English football fans of his talent in the World Cup, when he scored the only goal of the game between England and Belgium in the group stage.

He has never been lacking in talent, just form and the right guidance. Claude Puel could be the man to revitalise his career.
