Adam Johnson has been released from Moorland Prison.
Convicted paedophile Adam Johnson has been released from prison after serving half of a six-year term.
Johnson, 31, was sentenced to six years in prison for engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl in March 2016.
His trial at Bradford Crown Court heard how he kissed and touched the girl in his Range Rover in a secluded spot in County Durham on January 30, 2015. He also caused his victim ‘severe psychological harm’.
After serving three years, the former England international footballer was picked up by his father from Moorland Prison, near Doncaster, in the early hours of Friday morning.
As a sex offender, Johnson will now have to register his address and bank details with police and inform them of any intention to travel abroad.
He will also be restricted to seeing his daughter, Ayla, 4, only under the supervision of another adult.
