Ever the professional.
We see a lot of Shane Horgan on our television screens these days.
The former Leinster and Ireland winger is a pundit for both RTÉ and Sky Sports, so we often get the opportunity to listen to his insights on the game.
This, in addition to his weekly column for The Sunday Times, means that Horgan’s analysis is never far from reach.
Of course, there is a big difference between being a writer and appearing on a live broadcast.
These are two skills which many fail to mutually master.
Live broadcasting can definitely put people out of their comfort zone but based on the latest evidence, the 38-year-old can definitely handle the hazards which such a scenario can potentially pose.
In the build-up to Sky Sports’ coverage of Connacht’s PRO 12 encounter with the Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun, Horgan was pitchside along with his colleagues as they looked forward to the rugby which was yet to unfold.
This can pose problems, however.
Connacht were warming up just behind the punditry team and as you can see below, they got a little too close for comfort.

To us, it looked like it was Stacey Ili who momentarily broke Horgan’s train of thought but to be fair to the man, he does excellently to continue with the point he was making.
