England got some ounce of revenge for their football World Cup semi-final defeat, taking down Argentina in the rugby, 24-31.
Los Pumas set the tone for a feisty game, by wearing a jersey styled on the 1986 FIFA World Cup shirt, when they famously beat England in the 'Hand of God' game.
The match saw seven yellow cards in total - three for Argentina and four for England - with the visitors down to 13 men on two occasions.
After the game, head coach and Leinster legend, Felipe Contepomi, voiced his displeasure with the officiating, and also accused English backrower, Tom Curry, of pushing him in the tunnel.
He said: "And Curry, let me say, it's not only that because probably it's part of his nature to bully people, but he came in the tunnel and he gave me a little smack. I'm 48.
"No, no not smack, how do you say push? He hit here on the chest."
He then stormed out of the press conference, accusing his rivals of a 'lack of respect', due to the music and celebrations coming from the England dressing room.
England head coach Steve Borthwick was also not too pleased, but his ire was directed at the media who questioned him over his side's discipline.
In response, he said: “I don’t think now is the time to be digging into that.
“This team has done really, really well. It was a tough Test match, a fantastic Test match, we scored some wonderful tries and as ever you guys concentrate on the negativity.
“You’re like the negativity committee so it’s lovely coming and talking to you again.”
