The lads over at eir Sports did a fine job calling Ireland’s historic win over the All Blacks.
Liam Toland and John Forrest did not even pretend to be impartial in Soldier Field, Chicago, but didn’t we all miss Ryle Nugent a little bit?

Looking to scratch our commentary itch this morning and, obviously, desiring new ways to relive the magnificence of Saturday night, we stumbled across the Sky Sport NZ highlights of Ireland’s 40-29 victory.
Considering these lads are not used to calling defeats (the winning streak had been 18 games and counting), they remain remarkably dignified as Joe Schmidt’s men open a can of whoop ass on their beloved ABs.
Admittedly, they did get a tad excited when replacement TJ Perenara ran in the Kiwi’s second try, while you would almost feel sorry for the commentators (nah, not even slightly) when you hear their near orgiastic reaction to man-child Scott Barrett’s 64th minute score, which made it a one-try game.

Not on the highlights, but available here on a longer package, as the game winds to its conclusion the commentators do make sure to congratulate “Kiwi boy” Joe Schmidt who “engineered real history”.
