This looked awful and one hopes Stuart Hogg is not too dinged up.
All was going well for the British & Irish Lions midway through the first half of their tour game with an in-form Crusaders outfit.
Leading 6-0 and threatening to increase that scoreline, Lions fullback Stuart Hogg was knocked out of the game by his own teammate.
On a chip and chase, down the left flank, Hogg ran straight into the raised elbow of the retreating Conor Murray. The collision left him dazed and with blood pouring from a gash above his right eye.

That looks like a really sore one for Hoggy. pic.twitter.com/UnGiZV3E00

Hogg’s game was over after only 18 minutes and it will not help his Test chances at all. Let’s hope the eye injury is not as bad as it first appeared to be.
