Paddy Jackson looks set to restart his career in France.
The former Ulster and Ireland fly half is said to be on the brink of a move to Perpignan with RugbyRama reporting that the finalisation of the deal is “only a matter of time”.
The 26-year-old hasn’t played for province or country at all in 2018 and, in April, he parted ways with the club he had spent seven years with.
“Following a review, conducted in the aftermath of recent court proceedings, the Irish Rugby Football Union and Ulster Rugby have revoked the contracts of Patrick Jackson and Stuart Olding with immediate effect.”
Stuart Olding has already sealed a contract with French outfit Brive and he could be making his debut against some very familiar opponents.
Now, Jackson could be joining him in France with a move to the newly-promoted Top 14 side USA Perpignan.
“Talks between the club and the Irish international are very advanced,” RugbyRama say.
