Does the name Pascal Pape ring any bells?
Well some Irish rugby fans might well remember the towering Frenchman for what he did to Jamie Heaslip in the 2015 Six Nations.
During the 52nd minute of the Aviva Stadium clash, Heaslip, helped by his colleagues Simon Zebo and Peter O’Mahony, were successfully executing a choke tackle which was about to lead to an Irish scrum.
However, to help thwart this action, Pape decided to throw his knee into the lower back of Heaslip.
Pape received a yellow card and he actually had the gall to appeal the ban he inevitably received.
He wasn’t done endearing himself to the Irish public just yet, you might remember he made the most of Sean O’Brien’s punch during the titanic clash between the nations at the 2015 World Cup.

No doubt, O’Brien deserved to be cited and what he did doesn’t belong in the game but nevertheless, this situation only added to the panto-villain association which Irish fans have for the Stade Francais player.
Well it looks like the 36-year-old has been at it again.
During the recent Challenge Cup tie between Edinburgh and Stade Francais, Phil Burleigh received a red card for slapping Pape in the face, though we think that the force of this hit didn’t warrant such a reaction.
