Bullish

If Michael Conlan gets his latest prediction right, Irish fans will be happy this evening.

The Belfast boxer kicked off his professional career with an impressive stoppage victory in New York, last night.

Conlan get the job done, and emphatically so, against Tim Ibarra and many fans were impressed by the manner in which he predicted his triumph.

If Conlan’s prediction for Ireland’s Six Nations clash with champions England rings true, Joe Schmidt’s men will finish their campaign on a high.

As part of a wider predictions piece in The Telegraph, Conlan strikes a confident tone. He declared:

“Ireland to pull off the victory and win by 10 points. The team always gets up to play England and it’s St Patrick’s weekend.”

That’s the spirit Michael lad.

Backing up Conlan’s words were former Ireland outhalf David Humphreys and horse trainer Ted Walsh, while Amir Khan and Martin Bayfield sided with England.
