From Russia with love.
After making the 6,000 km trip to Siberia on Wednesday, defeating Enisei-STM by 31-14 on Saturday then being stranded in Russia for over two days, Connacht are finally coming home.
They were scheduled to fly back after the game on Saturday evening, but a technical fault with the plane meant they were forced to extend their trip.

John Muldoon revealed on Monday that although the spirits were high in the Connacht camp, there was a serious hygiene problem after being stuck in one place for a few days.
He explained on Twitter that “energy levels at all time low.. BO levels at an all time high.”
After landing in London, Aly Muldowney had his priorities straight to rectify this problem.
So landed in London, very happy camp we just need to shower And rest. Gleb is calming down #whoisgleb #RoadToGalway

The man himself then confirmed that the BO problem would soon end and hygiene would be restored by tweeting perhaps the most glorious photo of a shower that’s ever been taken.

Muldoon was particularly thankful of being able to have a good clean, especially considering what he put the passenger sitting next to him on the long haul flight through.
