Amazing that he emerged unscathed
Yet another heart-stopping crash from America’s motor speedways as Ryan Briscoe remarkably walked away from a horrifying crash on the final lap of the MAVTV 500 at Fontana.
With cars jostling for position, rival Ryan Hunter-Reay was squeezed out and lost control in front of Briscoe, sending the Australian’s car airborne and landing on in its nose before rolling to a stop on the grass infield.
Cockpit replays showed the force of the impact, but, amazingly, Briscoe quickly gave the thumbs-up sign to show he was alright.

Briscoe later tweeted he escaped with some bumps and bruises, and then went out to the spot to the impact to marvel at just how hard he hit the turf.
Well that was a WILD ride!! Thanks for all the messages, I feel fine if not just a bit bruised here and there. ‘Twas a fun race till then!!
