Formula 1 returns this weekend with the Canadian Grand Prix.

In the previous F1 race of the season, the Monaco Grand Prix, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc won at his hometown track ahead of Oscar Piastri (McLaren-Mercedes) in second place and Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz Jr in third.

Max Verstappen, however, maintains a dominant lead at the top of the drivers’ championship ahead of the race in Montreal this weekend.

The Red Bull driver leads the standings with 169 points, 31 points ahead of Leclerc and 56 clear of Lando Norris in third spot.

In the Constructors Championship, Red Bull lead the way with 276 points. Ferrari are in second place with 252 points, while McLaren are in third with 184 points.

Verstappen won the Canadian Grand Prix in 2023 and 2022.

The Canadian Grand Prix will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Formula 1 across the weekend.

The schedule for the weekend’s racing is as follows. All times are UK and Ireland.

Friday, June 7

  • Practice 1: 6:30 pm.
  • Practice 2: 10 pm.

Saturday, June 8

  • Practice 3: 5:30pm.
  • Qualifying: 9 pm.

Sunday, May 9

  • Race: 7 pm.

Highlights of the race will also be shown at 12:20 am on Sunday night/Monday morning on Channel 4.
