Thank God.
Fernando Alonso walked away unscathed from a horrific crash in the Australian Grand Prix on Saturday.
The Spaniard’s car flipped twice and went airborne before slamming into the wall, disintegrating en route.
Somehow though, he got out and walked away and proclaimed afterwards to Network Ten, “I’m happy to be here. It was quite a scary crash.”

The McLaren driver clipped the wheel of Esteban Gutierrez, spun out of control but, just when it looked like he was sliding off the track, his car took off and flipped over.
The crash happened on the 18th lap and brought proceedings to a half temporarily. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries recorded.
In slow motion, it is just terrifying and shows just how lucky he is.
Insanely lucky that Fernando Alonso walked away unscathed https://t.co/8UKPNd3ANB #AusGP
