The 16-year-old jumped up the grid from 19th to secure a Top 10 finish at the event in Oschersleben.
Signed with Van Amersfoot Racing, Schumacher’s brave outing saw him finish with two championship points.
Two more races are scheduled on this, the opening weekend of the ADAC Formula Four season.
