The Hooligan not only gets the taste of his first UFC main card on Saturday but he’s actually being given the coveted honour of co-main event as the UFC returns to his hometown.
Paddy Holohan is the only Dubliner featuring on the main card and he’s not taking the home ground advantage for granted ahead of his fifth octagon outing.
Holohan meets Louis Smolka at UFC Dublin and we’ve gotten a glimpse inside the SBG fighter’s training camp as he aims for vengeance for his fellow countryman Neil Seery who was beaten by Smolka in July.
“The further I go away from Ireland, the weaker I get,” Holohan said. “I have no problem admitting that. When I travel away from Ireland, the water is different and the food is different. When I’m in Ireland, I never get sick.”
Watch as the flyweight takes you on a trip around the estates where he spent his childhood learning to fight with no gloves, no rules and no referees before Holohan brings you into the highly respected SBG where he gets a ringing endorsement from head coach John Kavanagh.
