Frankie Edgar was probably the second happiest man at UFC 196.
Conor McGregor suffered his first UFC loss when he tapped out to Nate Diaz in the second round of their fight, a shock result that few predicted.
If the Notorious had won the bout at welterweight he would’ve most likely relinquished his UFC featherweight title, which he won from Jose Aldo at UFC 194 back in December.
However, following his shock loss, it appears McGregor’s next fight will be at 145lbs, and a defence of his title.
So no wonder Edgar, ranked third in the featherweight division, looked so happy at the moment when the Dubliner submitted.
