Whoever said that the flyweight division is boring can go ahead and shut the hell up.
Demetrious Johnson did his level best to win the casual fans over to his side with a decimation of the challenger who many believed could pose the biggest threat to the 125 lb champion.
Johnson proved that there’s just as much excitement, if not more, down at flyweight as he saw off Olympic gold medallist Henry Cejudo in just 2:49 of the first round.
‘Mighty Mouse’ looked in control from the get-go, with his expectedly superior striking showing early.

An eyebrow or two would have been raised, though, when Cejudo secured a gorgeous trip on the champion and attempted to work from top position.
Unfortunately for the challenger, Johnson isn’t easily bullied and the champ popped right back up to his feet and began an onslaught of Muay Thai against the fence.
A left knee stumbled Cejudo before ‘Mighty Mouse’ pounced with a left straight and knee to the body that left his opponent in a crumpled mess on the mat just waiting for ‘Big’ John McCarthy to save him.
Johnson is making a damn good case for consideration among the greatest of all time and if he continues winning like this, he’ll be there before long.
