Dustin Poirier’s maintained his composure following the disappointing news that broke on Thursday night.
The Diamond was set to throw down with Joseph Duffy in UFC Dublin’s main event, but the fight was scrapped with less than three days to go after Duffy pulled out with injury.
The rising Irish lightweight suffered a flash concussion during a sparring session and under doctor’s orders withdrew from the fight.
Poirier admitted he was disappointed over the news but revealed he is looking to reschedule the fight against Duffy for January.
The Diamond also responded to Conor McGregor offering to step in and fight him again to save the event on Twitter. Poirier seemed quite amused by McGregor’s antics calling him “ridiculous” and crazy.
I will give peanut another crack at the King no sweat.
I'll take the gate. It's my gate anyway. A cool 7. Cash.
See you at the weigh ins.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) October 21, 2015
