UFC officials would have been hoping for something eventful to take place in the final UFC 202 press conference and they received just that.
A tardy Conor McGregor prompted Nate Diaz to leave the stage in the David Copperfield Theatre at the MGM Grand before both fighters’ camps exchanged a flurry of cans and bottles.

The press conference ended as the rivals were separated and ‘The Notorious’ was left to speak to certain media members backstage after missing the vast majority of the scheduled event.
With rumours that McGregor’s girlfriend had been hit by a roll of tape in the skirmish, the Irishman insisted that everybody within his camp was unharmed in the altercation.
“We’re absolutely brand new,” McGregor told Lance Pugmire of the LA Times.
The news conference ends crazily with Diaz leaving room and his camp throwing things, including a tape roll that hit Conor's girlfriend arm

“It was handbags. If they want to fight, let’s fight. They can throw stuff from behind the thing but if they want to fight, let’s fucking fight.
“I just saw bottles being thrown and I was like ‘fuck that, if you want to start throwing bottles then I’ll throw cans,’ but it was all in self-defence. I was scared for my life.”
After clarifying that he was joking about being afraid, McGregor vocalised his hope that he doesn’t face any repercussions for his part in the fracas.
“I just hope that everything’s left,” he said. “I hope we don’t hear about it. We’re ready to fight. We’re prepared to fight.”
