Conor McGregor is right up there with some of the big dream guests for fans of The Joe Rogan Experience.
But we’re not holding our breath on The Notorious appearing on Rogan’s podcast any time soon after McGregor has suggested that the UFC colour commentator favours Team Alpha Male fighters like Chad Mendes, Urijah Faber and TJ Dillashaw.
Last week, Rogan said on his ‘Fight Companion’ podcast that he believed McGregor’s interim UFC featherweight championship doesn’t really count as a world title.
“Let’s be honest. McGregor has an illegitimate belt,” Rogan said. “It’s a made up belt. We call it the ‘interim’ belt but Aldo defended his title a year ago.”
And McGregor responded in an interview with FOX Sports last night, dismissing Rogan’s comments.
“I feel like he might be on Team Alpha Male a little bit anyways,” McGregor said. “Maybe that’s got something to do with it.
“What is Jose’s belt? He was handed the belt when they bought WEC. He was gifted his belt. He didn’t win it from nobody either.”

As outspoken as Rogan is, we look forward to some developments in this.
