Nate Diaz’s boxing coach, as recently as last week, continued to bang the drum on his belief that Conor McGregor was taking steroids ahead of UFC 196.
Well those accusations can be put to bed as the drug test results from UFC 196 fighters have come back and all competitors will be delighted to learn that there were no failures.
The Nevada State Athletic commission tested 18 of the 24 fighters on the March 5 card and cleared all of them after tests for both banned substances.
The remaining six fighters, including Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, were tested by the United States Anti-Doping Agency who found no positive results in the tests administered, according to results obtained by MMAJunkie.com on Monday.
Diaz’s pre-fight “you’re on steroids” allegation has thus been proven, as many believed, to be false.

Co-headliners Miesha Tate and Holly Holm, who fought a classic at UFC 196, are also in the clear after their samples came back negative from in-competition and out-of-competition tests.
