It would have been so easy to pretend like he’d never made such a promise.
But, all credit to him, Jon Anik is a man of his word.
Prior to UFC 196, the UFC commentator was so sure of a Conor McGregor victory in the main event that he made the promise to get Nate Diaz’s Stockton area code tattooed on his body.
The lack of faith shown in Diaz clearly irked the former TUF winner who said in his post-fight press conference that “Jon Anik better get a motherfucking ‘209’ tattoo or I’ma whoop his little ass.”
Looking for the finest tattoo artist in South Florida. All hail Nate Diaz. Honored to pay tribute to the Diaz bros. & an all-time great win.

But there will be no ass-whoopings required as Anik stayed true to his word by seeking out a tattooist on Thursday to go through with his forfeit.

And rather than tuck it away on his leg or back where the artwork would never be seen, Anik actually got it proudly emblazoned across his left forearm for the whole world to see.
