Jose Aldo: Conor McGregor cannot see a camera and keep control of himself

"Even parrots can talk"

Just a few more sleeps left, ladies and gents.

The long-awaited UFC featherweight title unification bout is little over a week away with Conor McGregor looking to back up all his promises thus far and Jose Aldo hoping to shut his rival up.

The trash talk has largely been one way traffic ever since the pair went on a promotional tour around the world before their initial meeting at UFC 189 was scrapped due to an Aldo injury.

And Aldo has recently revealed just how annoyed he was left when The Notorious took on all comers at the now infamous Go Big event in September.

“During the promotional tour the climate wasn’t that tense,” Aldo told Sherdog. “On the day of the Go Big event, everything he was saying – not just about me but about all the other fighters and challenging everybody.

“He cannot see a camera and keep control of himself.

“That day, he really got to me and it made me mad. But for sure that is not something that’s going to affect me in the fight.

“When the cage door closes, I’ll transform myself and show everyone who the real champion is.”

Aldo’s head coach Andre Pederneiras has revealed that he would not back Aldo to beat McGregor in a verbal sparring match but that the Brazilian is going to win decisively in the octagon.

“Pederneiras is right,” Aldo added. “Talking has never been my strong suit. Even parrots can talk! I’m there to do my job which is fighting.”
