Georges St-Pierre’s new physique has a lot of people jumping to conclusions

Georges St-Pierre, arguably the greatest fighter to ever grace an Octagon, is looking a little different these days.

Longtime fans of MMA will remember welterweight Georges St-Pierre. This was the most dominant version of the Canadian. GSP lost two fights at 170 lbs to Matt Hughes and Matt Serra respectively. He avenged both of them, finishing Hughes twice and Serra once during the greatest run the division has ever seen. After losing to Serra, he racked up 12-straight wins over a who's who of the weight class. Nick Diaz. Jake Shields, Dan Hardy, BJ Penn, Jon Fitch and Carlos Condit are just some of the marquee scalps he amassed during this era. If you started following the sport a little later, this is what St-Pierre looked like in his last welterweight fight against Johny Hendricks in 2013. Newer fans may be more familiar with middleweight St-Pierre. Although we've only seen this incarnation of him once. He returned to the Octagon after a four-year hiatus to challenge for Michael Bisping's middleweight title in November 2017. St-Pierre won via third round rear-naked choke to join an elite group of two-weight UFC champions, following in the footsteps of Randy Couture, BJ Penn and Conor McGregor. Daniel Cormier has since completed this feat by winning the light-heavyweight and heavyweight straps. St-Pierre's reign as middleweight king remains the shortest in UFC history in any division. He vacated the strap 34 days after winning it due to the digestive disorder ulcerative colitis. Here's what he looked like in his only ever fight at 185 lbs.

He has openly admitted to being interested in the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor McGregor. Nurmagomedov famously called out St-Pierre after winning the lightweight belt while a potential superfight between GSP and McGregor has been talked about by fans, training partners and coaches for years. Although Dana White has suggested that GSP won't be offered the winner of UFC 229's headliner, fans are having other ideas.
