Donald Cerrone sounds like he has finally lost his patience with “p**sy” Conor McGregor

"Tell that dude to slow his f**king roll"

They’re two of the most active fighters in the UFC but are we ever going to get the chance to see Donald Cerrone vs. Conor McGregor?

In reality, we were one fight away as a win for Cerrone over lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos last December would almost certainly have resulted in his first title defence coming against ‘The Notorious’ at UFC 196.

But it wasn’t to be and Cerrone has moved up to welterweight where he will meet fellow (nick)namesake Alex ‘Cowboy’ Oliveira next week and it is dos Anjos who is set for the massive payday that comes along with bouts against McGregor.

That’s not stopping Cerrone from setting up a potential meeting with the Irishman as he has said outright that the McGregor fight is the one he wants.

“I don’t even care; whatever they want to do,” Cerrone told MMAJunkie. “It makes no difference to me. I’m not going to say no. But I’m not going to get out there and say, ‘My next fight, title fight. It’s my dream.’ I don’t care. I don’t give a shit.

“Give me Conor McGregor. I’ll fight that pussy. Other than that, I don’t care. Tell that dude to slow his fucking roll. You can’t be just calling out 170-pounders. So, whatever. Enough of him.”

There would be good odds on McGregor’s next bout coming against ‘Cowboy’ as a win for Cerrone over Oliveira gets his momentum back on track and, depending on how McGregor fares against dos Anjos, this could be the most intriguing match-up on the table.

There are a lot of moving parts and a lot of trash to be talked but all roads seem to be pointing to McGregor vs. ‘Cowboy’ at some point in the near future.
