Nate Diaz is sick of hearing praise for ‘spoiled little kid’ Conor McGregor for agreeing to UFC 200 rematch

July is four months away and already the trash taking has started.

MMA fans woke up yesterday morning to the news that UFC 200 is going to be headlined by a welterweight rematch between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor.

There were only 11 days the last time for both men to get in full motor mouth mode ahead of UFC 196, but this time around Diaz is coming out early putting pressure on the 27-year-old Dubliner.

Dana White admitted yesterday that there has been some discussion with the featherweight UFC champion to try and get him to move down a weight for the rematch, perhaps to 155, but the Drimnagh native was having none of it.

Diaz doesn’t think his opponent deserves any praise for agreeing to fight again at 170, or the fact he wants another pop at the Stockton native.

“I don’t want to hear any more praise about that bitch wanting a rematch. Or course he wants a rematch, which is how you should be if you get your ass whipped by anyone.

“Redeem himself? F**k  no! He’s lucky he’s getting a second chance. Me and a lot of other people who have lost before have never gotten that second chance. One and done. Lose a fight and you’ll never see that guy again. I wanted 10 rematches and I didn’t get those. So f**k no. He’s like a spoiled little kid. He should be thanking me for this f**king rematch.”

Win lose or draw, McGregor’s next fight will be a defence of his featherweight title against interim champion Frankie Edgar or Jose Aldo.

The future is less certain for Diaz, although according to Yahoo Sports, he believes a second win over McGregor would mean that he can pick and choose whatever fight he wants, which could include another tilt at lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.

“Without a question [I asked for a dos Anjos rematch], but they f**king want to baby McGregor. They give him whatever he wants. I decided I’m not going to hold out like everyone else. I’m going to get down to business, slap this bicth and then be on my way and get my rematches.”
