UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will defend his belt against Jon Jones at UFC 214, next month.
There is absolutely zero love lost between ‘DC’ and ‘Bones’ and they will finally be able to settle their differences in the Octagon on July 29 in Las Vegas.
This title fight has been a long time in the making, with multiple dates having been scratched due to either injury, suspension, suspension or injury. The tension is palpable between the palpable between the pair with Cormier going as far as to label Jones, who is returning from a doping ban, as ‘a loser junkie’.
Jones has not been short of barbs though.

All the bad blood was put to one side, last night, however as Cormier sent Jones a message of condolence and support following a family bereavement.
Jones’ mother, Camille Jones, passed away on Tuesday after a long battle with Diabetes.

Cormier was nothing but class with his public message to Jones. It was a respectful touch from one fighter to another, just six weeks out from their much-anticipated title bout.
In our community the mother is the backbone. @JonnyBones , Arthur , chandler and mr. jones I am sorry for ur loss. RIP Mrs Camille. Prayers
