Could we see Quinton “Rampage” Jackson give the UFC one last go?

Could we see the former UFC light heavyweight champ return to the octagon?

Fewer relationships are more strained in the fight game than that between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and the UFC.

But certain revelations this week would suggest that the chances of “Rampage” entering the octagon once more might be more likely than you’d imagine.

Jackson (35-11) was cut from the UFC roster in early 2013 and was snatched up by the promotion’s biggest rival Bellator, where he’s gone on to win three straight fights for the first time since 2007.

But “Rampage” took to Twitter earlier this week to get the rumour mill buzzing that he has become unsettled at Bellator MMA, where he’s also been required to work briefly with professional wresting organisation TNA.

In order for Jackson to make his return to the UFC, he would have to repair relations with president Dana White but, in a radio interview on Monday, White revealed that he’s not as pissed off with “Rampage” as most believe.

“I like him,” White told TSN’s “Off the Record.”

“‘Rampage’ and I have a very unique relationship. All the stuff that goes on publicly, behind the scenes, we square it away. He’s a good dude.”

We can’t express how much we’d adore a rematch between “Rampage” and Rashad Evans in the UFC but that wish might be a bridge too far.
