The message was simple

In the aftermath, when the fight was stopped after breaking his leg, Joe Rogan interviewed the Dubliner, who doubled down on his confrontational approach shouting “Your wife is in my DMs!”
After saying all pre-fight that Poirier will leave in a stretcher, it was in fact McGregor who was stretchered out and many thought that this embarrassing twist of irony, coupled by his disgraceful post-match comments, that he might be apologetic on reflection.
