Conor McGregor vs. Fabricio Werdum by 2018?
‘The Notorious’ has a seemingly insatiable desire to claim as many belts as humanly possible and is already looking beyond his upcoming lightweight title shot at UFC 197.
The reigning UFC featherweight champion would make history if he claims the 155 lb title in March as he would become the first fighter in UFC history to hold belts in two different weight classes simultaneously.
But he’s not content to rest there and has claimed that he is open to the idea of moving up to welterweight in an attempt to take Robbie Lawler’s title from him before the end of the year.
“I am an active champion,” McGregor said at Wednesday night’s press conference
“I will fight in many weight divisions.
“As it grows and all of this forms now, I like the sound of that 170 lb title as well. I’ve got to be honest with you.
“I feel I can take down those three gold belts and I feel I can do it by the year’s end.”
