Jon Jones’ removal has cost Daniel Cormier a pretty penny.
The disclosed fight purses for UFC 200 have been obtained by Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole and it shows that ‘DC’ is set to earn half of what he would have made if his title unification grudge match with Jones went ahead as planned.
Cormier instead fights late stand-in Anderson Silva, whose purse actually exceeds that of the 205 lbs champion.
Cormier was to make $1 million to fight Jones, but his purse to fight Silva is $500k per Nevada Athletic Commission

The top earner is unsurprisingly Brock Lesnar who is set to make at least $2.5 million on Saturday night according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

It should be pointed out that the disclosed purses don’t take into account the pay-per-view cuts to which some fighters are entitled, nor does it include sponsorship/Reebok money or locker room payouts.
In March, UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor became the first fighter in UFC history to earn a disclosed purse of $1 million in spite of his submission defeat to Nate Diaz.
