Conor McGregor is often praised for his movement, his power and his elusiveness in the octagon but one element of his game that is often underestimated is his ability to take a punch.
We had never really seen McGregor hurt in the UFC until his interim featherweight title bout against Chad Mendes in July when The Notorious rebounded from some early trouble to finish his opponent late in the second round.
So gutsy was that comeback victory that iconic MMA referee John McCarthy has listed the Irishman among the fighters with the toughest chins in the sport.

McCarthy has seen it all in MMA so knows what he’s talking about but Jose Aldo will want to put that chin to the test when he and McGregor finally meet at UFC 194.
