Anyone tuning into Today FM’s breakfast show during the week may have heard presenter Ian Dempsey tip Padraig Harrington to win the Portugal Masters.
Most would have scoffed at Dempsey’s 80-1 punt, but they’re laughing on the other side of their faces now after the DJ’s punt paid off in fine style.

The three-time Major winner shot a closing round 65 to finish off a fantastic weekend and win by one-shot from defending champion Andy Sullivan.
Thankfully Dempsey had put his money where his mouth was.

Harrington had not won on the European Tour since 2008, and had finished in a tie for 63rd, 70th and 75th in his last three events, making Dempsey’s prediction all the more impressive.
Considering the DJ is one of those rare things, an Irish Chelsea fan, he must be REALLY enjoying his Sunday.
