Video: G-Mac drives ball within three feet for tap-in eagle

McDowell moves up at Hero World Challenge

Graeme McDowell came within a couple of feet of a hole in one on the par-4 16th hole at the Hero World Challenge in Orlando yesterday.

The Irishman landed his tee shot on the 290-yard hole just in front of the green and watched in roll onto the putting surface, coming to rest no more than three feet from the pin.

The eagle two helped McDowell post a third-round 68, lifting him to seven under and seventh place in the 18-man field. However, he is way behind pace setter Jordan Spieth after the American fired a 63 to march out to 20-under par and a seven shot lead over Keegan Bradley and Henrik Stenson.

It was a slightly better day for Tiger Woods, as the former world No.1 fought off the effects of illness to shoot a 69 that got him to level par for the tournament, although he continues to look up at the rest of the leaderboard.
