World number 370 and she still said yes. She’s a keeper.

Mark Hubbard closed out with a par to end a reasonable day’s work and faced his most daunting task all day – proposing to his long-time girlfriend.

The American sprung the life-changing surprise on girlfriend Meaghan McCurley after his first round at the AT&T Championship at Pebble Beach. Hubbard jumped the Valentines Day gun to ensure the proposal was more unexpected. Thankfully, for all involved, Meaghan said yes.

Meanwhile, Ryuji Imada saved par in incredible fashion during his round. The Japanese golfer ended up on a cliff-face after pushing his approach to the eight hole but managed to loft a superb recovery and tap in for par.

Here’s where he ended up and [below] how he got himself out of a pickle.
