Shane Lowry may have just stolen our our hearts
If you are feeling a bit tired this afternoon, if you’re not quite as alert as you should be, or if you’re feeling a bit groggy, then blame Shane Lowry.
The Offaly man kept most of us up last night with his heroics at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio, when he took a first ever PGA Tour victory in some style.
We imagine the celebrations went on well into the night but, as ever, the Offaly man hasn’t forgotten his roots or his manners.
He’s taken to Twitter today to thank everyone who passed on their best wishes to the golfer who’s now inside the world’s top 20 for the first time in his career.
Wow! Can't put into words how I'm feeling now. Thanks to everyone for their support. #winnerwinner
