The Irishman's emotional investment in this competition has been apparent from the outset. While some players play with a poker-face, Lowry holds nothing back and celebrates every dropping putt like it's a goal in the county final. "I just said to Luke, 'Thank you for having placing your trust in me'. This is a dream come true for me... this is something I always wanted to do in my life... it has been the greatest week of my life. "Those last two hours were the most stressful of my life... myself, Tommy and Bob joked this morning, 'I hope it doesn't come down to us'. "But I'm glad that we could win it... I'm disappointed that I didn't win my match, but I don't really care as long as we won."
