Money is not the only thing on the minds of golfers this week in Dubai.
Much like sportsmen across the world all week, several golfers have shown their support for the victims of the Paris attacks with some classy gestures at today’s action in Dubai.
Rory McIlroy is hoping to lead the order of money list by the end of play at the DP World Tour Championship, but the former world No 1 showed that he had France in his mind with a hand-drawn symbol of the Eiffel Tower on his peaked hat.

Ian Poulter also made a kind gesture towards France with his choice of headwear.

Both men have enjoyed a very good opening day’s action as McIlroy lies two shots off the lead held by a group of four that includes Poulter and Martin Kaymer, England’s Andy Sullivan and Australian Marcus Fraser who are all on 8 under.
McIlroy’s day ended with a bogey on the 18th to end the opening day on a 68 as he hopes to finish the season with another major payday.
